I am a mighty hunter!

The lizard in these pictures is dead. I deaded it. When it dropped out of my mouth, Dad got this glass and covered it up because he was afraid it was still alive and I would eat it. But when he took it outside to release it, it was as limp as ... as... well, a dead lizard.

Dad's version of events (as related to MomBean): "Well, I was sitting at the computer working (as usual) when I heard loud noises and scrabbling and here came Lux down the hallway with all his claws out and teeth bared. He ran into my office and then stood there, looking up at me. To my horror, there was a long tail dangling from his mouth! I jumped up and grabbed at the lizard, to pull it out, but the tail came off and started squirming all around when I dropped it. I thought Luxor had eaten the lizard, but unless there were two, a commotion later in the living room caused me to run out and grab the boy, who was 12 pounds of solid packed muscle. The lizard fell out of his mouth and lay there long enough for me to run and get a glass to capture it (an unnecessary gesture, as it turns out). Luxor was actually whining, pawing at the glass - he wanted his prize! So I covered the glass with a pot until you [Luxor's MomBean] could come home and take pictures."

Luxor is now on guard by the front door. His head keeps whipping about lest one slip past him. This was one of the best, most exciting days of his life!
