A few words about "cat toys ..."

These, contrary to what MomBean imagines, are not cat toys.


First, just look at what I believe is supposed to represent a bear's paw and claws. Is this weird or what? What cat is going to enjoy having his/her bean's arm inside a bear paw, with said bean growling and saying things like, "I'm coming to get you!" or "Better run!!!" (Now that I've actually looked at the "bear paw," I believe it might be a leopard's paw instead. Everything I said about it still applies.)

The more timid of our species is going to have a heart attack, while the more sophisticated (like me) is going to do ... absolutely nothing. Get rid of the bear leopard paw, Mom. If we haven't shown any interest in something for three years, it's not likely to happen.

Next, look at what the paw is holding. It's a ball of sorts - yes - but looks can be deceiving. Mom found it at the health food store and I guess she thought we kitties would be entranced by the bright colors and want to toss it around. When she first picked it up, though, she should have realized that if one of us were hit in the head with it, we'd be knocked out. That sucker's heavy! I sincerely hope never to see this inappropriate neon magenta object again.
